1. Open the new case form
From the cases list, tap the New case button. The form opens as a list of fields you fill in any order.
2. Pick or add a patient
Tap the Patient row. Search by last name, first name, or internal number. If the patient is new, tap New patient and add their details — the case will be created against this new patient automatically.
3. Fill the rest, in any order
- Work type (defaults to your most recent choice).
- Tooth (FDI numbering, tap the diagram).
- Shade (Vita Classical — choose by code, screen colour is unreliable).
- Lab (defaults to your most recent lab).
- Impression date (defaults to today).
- Lead time (defaults to the lab's lead time).
- Notes (optional, anything the lab needs to know).
Every field commit triggers a background save. The status indicator next to the title shows Saving / Saved / Save failed. There is no Save button.
4. Send to the lab when ready
When the case is ready to leave the chair, hit Send to lab. We email a branded work order to the lab and switch the status to Sent. The lab can reply directly to you.
