Understanding case statuses

Cases move through a small fixed set of statuses. Knowing them is the difference between an actionable list and a graveyard.

  • Draft — being entered, not yet sent. Counts against the free plan.
  • Impression taken — manual marker if you take impressions ahead of preparation.
  • Sent to lab — work order has left the clinic.
  • Awaiting return — explicit "watching the calendar" status.
  • Work received — physical work is back in the clinic.
  • Fitted — done. Slot is freed on the free plan.
  • Cancelled — abandoned. Slot is freed on the free plan.

Filtering

The cases list has five segments: Today, Active, Overdue, Done, All. Active = anything not yet fitted or cancelled. Overdue = expected-return-date is in the past. Done = fitted or cancelled.

The Today segment shows cases whose expected return date is today AND that are still active — your at-a-glance morning briefing.
